Fund selection research & tools.
Don’t guess. Find better funds.
AlphaX Finserv is building a systematic, multi-factor research framework for evaluating mutual funds and investment products — combining market-regime signals, theme momentum, and quantitative scoring.
Research coverage across
Why We’re Building This
A quantitative approach to fund research.
Most fund rankings rely on trailing returns over one window. We think the problem deserves more dimensions than that.
Multi-Factor Fund Research
Ranking funds by trailing 1Y or 3Y returns captures one dimension of a multi-dimensional question.
Our framework scores funds across five quantitative dimensions — returns across multiple horizons, risk-adjusted performance, momentum, volatility profile, and quality indicators — ranked within category rather than across the whole market.
Dynamic Market Regime Awareness
A static 60/40 split doesn’t adapt. Most allocations are set once and left alone.
We track macro signals — volatility, broad market trend, currency and rate movements — to inform how the equity-debt stance should shift as conditions change.
Adaptive Theme Selection
Fixed baskets hold the same sectors whether they’re trending or stalling.
We identify which sectors, asset classes, and geographies are showing genuine trend strength, and weight allocation toward themes with positive momentum.
Monitoring & Sell Discipline
Most attention goes into the buy decision. Manager exits, AUM bloat, and style drift happen quietly afterwards.
Our framework watches for manager changes, AUM movements, style drift, and expense ratio shifts — the things that change a fund’s character after you’ve bought it.
The framework runs across the full product universe.

Our Research Framework
Institutional method, applied systematically.
Macro & Regime Read
We assess the prevailing environment — risk-on or risk-off, the rate cycle, inflation trajectory — to frame how aggressively capital should be deployed across asset classes.
Theme & Sector Screening
From the full universe of sectors, asset classes, and geographies, we filter for those showing genuine trend strength rather than narrative appeal.
Systematic Scoring & Review
Within each category, products are scored on the five factors and re-examined on a regular cadence — not set once and forgotten.
Built on institutional investing experience across global markets, applied to the Indian investor’s actual problem.

How Allocation Comes Together
What a diversified allocation can look like.
Illustrative only · Moderate risk profile · Long horizon
Duration and credit exposure
Broad-market and category exposure
International diversification
Multi-asset and hybrid categories
Portfolio hedge
Reserve for deployment
Purely illustrative and for educational purposes. Not a recommendation, and not tailored to any individual’s circumstances. Actual allocation depends entirely on personal goals, risk profile, and horizon.
The Wider Picture
The decisions that come as wealth grows.
Investing is one part of the picture. As wealth grows, so do the questions around it — borrowing, tax, succession, cross-border structure — usually spread across different professionals with nobody connecting them.
We write about how these pieces fit together.
Borrowing & Leverage
- How loan-against-securities works
- When leverage makes sense
- Cost of capital
Tax-Aware Investing
- Holding structures
- Capital gains treatment
- What to discuss with your CA
Cash Management
- The cost of idle capital
- Liquidity laddering
- Reserve planning
Estate & Succession
- Nomination vs will vs trust
- Inter-generational transfer
- Common pitfalls
Cross-Border
- LRS and remittance basics
- FEMA fundamentals
- For global Indians
These are educational topics we cover in our research. Tax, legal, and estate matters should always be taken to a qualified professional.
Built for Global Indians
Cross-border investing is operationally harder than it should be.
We’re building with NRI investors in mind from the start — and writing about the parts people find hardest.
Cross-Border Complexity
Investing into India from abroad involves account structures, documentation, and rules that domestic investors never encounter.
FEMA & Account Basics
NRE, NRO, FCNR — what each is for, and how the choice you make early affects you later.
Repatriation Rules
What can come out of India, what can’t, and the limits that apply to each route.
Regional Context
Particular familiarity with investors based in Singapore, the UAE, the US, and the UK.

Common Questions

What is AlphaX Finserv?expand_more
We’re a research-led investor education platform for Indian and NRI investors, centred on a systematic multi-factor framework for evaluating funds and asset allocation. We’re currently in our pre-launch phase, publishing research openly while we build.
Are you registered to distribute mutual funds?expand_more
Not yet. Our AMFI registration is in progress. Until it’s granted we don’t distribute any product, execute any transaction, or recommend any specific fund — everything on this site is general research and education.
So what can I actually get right now?expand_more
Our published research: market regime commentary, asset allocation frameworks, category and flow analysis, and educational material on cross-border investing. All free, no paywall, no call required.
How will your fund research differ from Groww or Value Research?expand_more
Most platforms rank primarily on trailing returns. Our framework scores across five dimensions — blended returns over multiple horizons, risk-adjusted performance, momentum, volatility profile, and quality — within category. We also read macro regime and theme momentum before looking at individual products at all.
Do you recommend specific funds?expand_more
No. Not on this site, not in the newsletter, not on a call. Naming funds is regulated activity and we don’t hold that registration yet.
How will I be chrarged, is there any fee?expand_more
Our insights are completely free for now. We may introduce fee-based services in the future after obtaining the relevant licenses, which will be transparently disclosed.
Will you manage my money?expand_more
No. We won’t hold client funds or make discretionary decisions on anyone’s behalf. Investment decisions stay with the investor.
Do you work with NRI investors?expand_more
Yes. We’re building cross-border onboarding into the platform from the start, and our research covers FEMA, account structures, and repatriation.
Is my information safe?expand_more
We collect your email to send research and product updates, nothing more. We don’t sell or share your data. Unsubscribe any time.
